UEPLAC organised the workshop devoted to finalising the Ukraine’s Environmental Strategy up to 2020

Upon the Ministry of Environment and the Co-ordination Bureau requests and, in co-operation with the EC Delegation and the SIDA, UEPLAC proposed holding a series of the round tables/workshops devoted to finalising the Ukraine’s Environmental Strategy up to 2020 already prepared by the Ministry as well as to working out the legal and implementing measures (Action Plan). The planned activities are of purely technical nature and are addressed to up to 25 participants each time. The first session has already been held on 20 November 2008. During the intensive brainstorm style sessions, the most appropriate approaches for Ukraine, economically and financially justified solutions have been proposed and discussed. Beside the best experts from environmental sector, the Ministry for Environmental Protection, the Co-ordination Bureau representative(s), the SIDA and UEPLAC experts have also contributed to elaboration of the documents.
