UEPLAC held a seminar on EU information web-search |
Meeting a request of the Senior Civil Service School of the MDCSU and, notably, specific needs of Ukrainian civil servants, UEPLAC organised a training on EU information web-search focusing on its valid methodology.
Thanks to participation in this seminar, directors of the training, re-training and advanced training centres for the Ukrainian public administration and local self government bodies` staff, have got familiar not only with the main EU databases, but also realised an urgent need for targeted trainings for civil servants. During the seminar UEPLAC experts delivered four thematic presentations, namely on:
- Shortcomings and problems of information support in the EU-related issues
- Searching for multi-fledged EU information: main databases
- Searching for the EU legal information: methods and skills needed
- Presentation of the Management Information system – MIS
- Useful web-pages for the approximation work
The recommendations, which participants received, are expected to be embodied in the training programmes under the State targeted programme concerned. Whereas this seminar is to become the first in a series of tailor-made trainings under UEPLAC, their topics depending on further needs of recipients.
